Haze Heffner, a native of Newark, NJ, known as "Brick City," was born and raised on the South Side. Growing up in a musical environment, Haze developed a strong passion for music, inspired by his father's singing talents. As he pursued his own musical journey, Haze performed at various local venues and events, including Vibes in the City and Henny Sundays, gaining recognition throughout the state and even securing appearances on multiple radio interviews.

In a remarkable turn of events, Haze had the incredible opportunity to perform at the 2022 MTV VMA's alongside his mentor, Jerry Wonda, a platinum recording Grammy-winning producer who has collaborated with numerous celebrities. Their collaboration also led to the release of a project titled "The Other Side of Newark," which showcases the talent of nine other gifted artists from the city, while also conveying the essence of Brick City and promoting anti-violence through the power of music.
